The Civil Rights Movement has been going on a very long time.. much longer than white america acknowledges .. Lawson's look and information brings that point home.
people within the movement .. more than just MLK. Many more!

i had to read this book in its entirety for class. it gives a good summary of american black history from slavery to present day (yes it does mention obama). it has pictures, captions, etc. textbook quality at novel price. cant be beat.
